2. These terms
These terms apply to orders placed through our website, by telephone or directly with our staff. By placing an order, you confirm that you have read and accepted them.
Our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy also apply. The Refund Policy explains how cancellations, order changes, refunds and problems with an order are handled.
If any part of these terms conflicts with your legal rights, your legal rights take priority.
3. Our products
We prepare and sell food including platters, buffet items and meal-prep products. Product descriptions, ingredients, portion sizes, prices and availability are shown on the relevant product page or confirmed by our staff when you order.
We take reasonable care to keep product information accurate. Food is freshly prepared, and its appearance may vary slightly from photographs or from one order to another. We will tell you about any important substitution or change and get your agreement before providing it.
Products are subject to availability. If we cannot provide an item you have ordered, we will contact you to discuss an alternative or a refund.
4. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling. Any delivery charge or other applicable charge will be confirmed before you place the order.
Payment must be made using a payment method offered at checkout or otherwise agreed with our staff. We will tell you when payment is due as part of the ordering process. Your order total and any applicable charges will be shown or confirmed before your order is accepted.
We may correct an obvious pricing or description error before accepting an order. If this affects an order you have already placed, we will contact you and give you the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel for a refund.
5. Placing and accepting an order
You are responsible for checking that your order, contact details and requested collection date or time are correct before submitting it.
A website confirmation or payment receipt acknowledges that we have received your order. We will confirm whether we can fulfil it. Your order is accepted when we send or give you confirmation that we have accepted it. If we cannot accept it, we will let you know and refund any payment made.
Please contact us as soon as possible if you spot a mistake or need to change an order. Changes may not be possible once ingredients have been ordered or preparation has begun.
6. Collection and delivery
Website orders are for collection from:
21 Maxwellton Street, Paisley, PA1 2UF
Orders should normally be placed by 1pm for next-day collection. Weekday collections are normally between 2pm and 4pm. For weekend collection arrangements, please contact us on 07495 247834 before ordering.
The collection date and time agreed in our order confirmation will apply if they differ from these usual arrangements. Please contact us promptly if you expect to be late. Fresh food is perishable, so we may not be able to keep an order indefinitely.
Website orders are collection-only unless we confirm a delivery arrangement with you directly. For delivery, please call us before placing your order. We will confirm whether delivery is available, the delivery charge and the timing before accepting the order.
If you do not collect an order that has been correctly prepared, we may be unable to refund it. This does not affect your rights if the problem was caused by us. More detail is in our Refund Policy.
7. Allergens and food information
Please tell us about any food allergy, intolerance or dietary requirement before ordering. Contact us before completing your purchase to request current allergen information for the items you are considering. We will provide that information before you order and with the food at collection or delivery.
Ingredients and preparation methods can change. Please check the information supplied with your order before serving or eating it, and contact us if anything is unclear. We take care when preparing food, but other allergens may be handled in the same food preparation environment. We will not describe a product as “free from” an allergen unless we have specifically confirmed that to you.
If you have a serious allergy, speak to us before ordering so we can discuss whether we can safely meet your needs. Please do not rely on information from an earlier order or an earlier version of our menu.
8. Looking after your food
Our food is perishable. Follow any storage, use-by and reheating instructions provided with your order. Unless we tell you otherwise, refrigerate chilled food promptly and do not eat food after its stated use-by date.
Once food has been collected or delivered, you are responsible for handling and storing it safely. This does not affect our responsibility for food that was unsafe or faulty when we supplied it.
9. Cancellations, refunds and problems
Our Refund Policy explains how to request a cancellation or change, report a problem and seek a refund or replacement. It forms part of these terms.
Nothing in these terms or our Refund Policy removes or limits any consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded, including rights relating to food that is not as described, is unsafe or is not of satisfactory quality.
10. Website use and content
You may use our website for lawful personal or business purposes. You must not misuse the site, attempt to disrupt it, or use it to submit false or unlawful material.
The text, photographs, logos and other content on our website belong to us or are used with permission. You may not copy or reuse them for commercial purposes without our written permission.
We try to keep the website available and its information current, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access or that every page will always be error-free. We may update or temporarily withdraw website content.
11. Our responsibility
We do not exclude or limit any responsibility where the law does not allow us to do so, including responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
Subject to that, we are not responsible for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when you placed your order, or for loss caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control. If such circumstances affect your order, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and discuss an appropriate solution.
12. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal information, including information needed to process and manage your order.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms by publishing a revised version on our website. The terms in force when we accept your order will apply to that order.
14. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by Scots law. If you are a consumer, you may also be able to bring proceedings in the courts where you live.
If you have a question about these terms or an order, contact us at hello@platterznprep.co.uk, call 07495 247834, or write to us at 21 Maxwellton Street, Paisley, PA1 2UF.
